1. Who we are

Evawero Intelligence is operated by Evawero Digital Solutions Limited. We provide an AI-powered intelligence platform that helps professionals identify business opportunities, market signals, and content trends.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account data: Your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Profile data: Company name, role, and preferences you provide during onboarding and in Settings.
• Gmail access: If you connect a Gmail account, we request read-only access to fetch emails from specific labels you choose. We do not read, store, or process emails beyond extracting article links for analysis.
• Usage data: Scan history, saved tasks, and opportunity results linked to your account.
• Payment data: Billing is handled by Paystack and Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment credentials — only your subscription status and customer reference.

3. How we use your data

• To operate and personalise your intelligence dashboard
• To run AI scans on your connected sources and return relevant results
• To send your weekly digest email (if scans have run)
• To process subscription payments and enforce plan limits
• To maintain the security and integrity of the platform

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in Section 4.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Anthropic (Claude API): Article content is sent to Anthropic's API for AI analysis. Anthropic's data usage policy applies.
• Google OAuth: Used for sign-in and Gmail access. Google's privacy policy applies.
• SendGrid: Used to send weekly digest emails.
• Paystack: Used to process payments for Nigerian users.
• Stripe: Used to process payments for international users.
• Railway: Our hosting provider. Your data is stored on Railway's infrastructure.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on a PostgreSQL database hosted by Railway. Gmail OAuth tokens are encrypted using AES-256-CBC before storage. Sessions are stored server-side in the database, not in browser cookies.

We implement rate limiting on all sensitive endpoints (login, signup, scan) to protect against abuse.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Disconnect your Gmail account at any time from the Sources page
• Revoke Google OAuth access at any time via your Google Account settings

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all associated data including scan results, tasks, and connected sources within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is httpOnly and is not accessible to JavaScript. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Children's privacy

Evawero Intelligence is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
